About the Author

Lisa Tazza Friesen is a wife, mother, artist, and storyteller living in Huntington Beach, California. A mother of two grown sons, she describes her journey through motherhood as the most sacred and transformative calling of her life. Though her heart often longs for the days when her boys filled the home, she now celebrates their independence while continuing to support their lives with love and faith. She has two dogs who, in their own way, continue to teach her about the value of companionship and presence.

Lisa finds deep inspiration in nature, especially the ocean. A lifelong lover of the sea, she’s spent countless hours surfing waves, basking in the sun, and recharging in the outdoors. It’s in these natural spaces and in the sacred quiet of spiritual reflection that she feels closest to her Creator.

For Lisa, faith has been the anchor through life’s weariness. As a mother who often carried the emotional and practical weight of a family, she once felt drained and disconnected. Through scripture, prayer, and honest conversations with God, she found healing, reconnection, and strength. Her bond with her Heavenly Father became real and tangible, shaping her view of love, sacrifice, and trust.

Lisa writes not from perfection but from presence. Her stories are a reflection of her healing, her faith, and her desire to create moments of connection for others, especially for those who feel small under the weight of their callings.
